Battle of the Coral Sea is a map set in the Coral Sea. It is fought between United States and Japan.
Description
There are a total of four control points in this map. Each side starts off with two control points. The control points can only be captured in the air by aircraft.
Whichever side holds three or more control points will incur a ticket bleed to the other side.
The American fleet is comprised of USS Lexington, USS Yorktown, Pensacola-class cruiser, and Dido-class cruiser, whereas the Japanese have aircraft carriers Shokaku and Zuikaku, Furutaka-class cruiser, and light cruiser Yubari.
Aircraft play the central role here, as they are required for air superiority and to capture the control points. The ships can move within their own half of the map, and are mainly present to provide anti-aircraft fire.
