Boeing B-29 Superfortress is an American heavy bomber.
Description[]
One of the largest aircraft available in Battlegroup42, the B-29 is armed with ten M2 Browning machine guns in five remote controlled turrets, with another two and a 20mm M2 cannon at the tail section. A radar is also available at for the tail section crewman to detect and anticipate incoming enemy fighters.
Players can enter the bomber by spawning directly inside one. By default settings, the aircraft can be controlled with WASD as with ships, as well as directional up and down keys for ascending and descending.
Players "exiting" the bomber will remain inside the aircraft, allowing them to carry out repairs inflight when necessary.
It makes its exclusive appearance in 4503-Tokyo Air Raid.
Trivia[]
- The model is based on Tupolev Tu-4 donated by the Operation Anubis mod.
- Prior to Release Candidate 1, the model is available in the mod with lacking interior details and different texture, and can be spawned via Debugger executable or using mapping tools such as Battlecraft 1942 and Editor42.
