Bofors 37mm gun is an anti-tank gun of Swedish origin.
Description
The Bofors 37mm anti-tank gun was designed mainly for export purposes, a goal which was successful as the gun was sold to the Netherlands, Poland, Finland, and Yugoslavia, and more produced as licensed copies.
The anti-tank gun enjoyed an early success at different fronts as its firepower was adequate to deal with tanks in the inter-war period as well as those appearing early in World War II. It was widely captured by Germany and the Soviet Union for their own use, however the gun would soon become obsolete with the advance of tank armour later in the war.
In Battlegroup42 the Bofors 37mm gun is used by the Netherlands and Yugoslavia. It is also the main armament for the Dutch Pantserwagen M.38.
