For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Type 94 tankette.

Type 94 tankette is a Japanese tankette.

Description[]

Officially named the "Type 94 light armoured car" and "TK", this vehicle's design was largely based on the Carden-Loyd Mark VI, which the Japanese army tested. Although it concluded that tankettes were deemed inadequate for direct combat, such vehicles had potential use in support roles such as logistics and reconnaissance. As a result the vehicle debuted as an armoured prime mover with a machine gun turret for self-defence. Nevertheless, it did see use in combat role to support infantry as a tankette, and was a common sight in the Pacific theatre throughout the war.

The Type 94's sole armament is a single 6.5mm Type 91 machine gun, which is adequate against infantry. However, it has very thin armour, and can be easily damaged even by anti-tank rifles, and potentially fatal by more powerful guns. Despite its fragility, its small size is potentially useful for hiding in an ambush, or seek refuge in narrow spaces where larger tanks cannot reach and outmanoeuvre its enemy.

It can be found in many maps over the whole course of the war, such as 4208-Gavutu Islands, 4208-Jiangxi, and 4508-Yamashita Treasure.
