For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Henschel Hs 129.

The Henschel Hs 129 is a German ground attack aircraft.

Description[]

Taking lessons from the Spanish Civil War, the German authority sought for a twin-engine armoured aircraft for ground attack. Development was dogged by underpowered engines, which was solved by using captured French radial engines that were available in large numbers after France's capitulation. A small number of production aircraft saw service in the North African theatre, while the majority, including those in Romanian and Hungarian use, fought in the Eastern Front.

The Hs 129 is available in the form of B-2 and B-3 variants with German markings in BattleGroup42. The B-2 variant (also known as B-2/R1 in the mod) has two 20mm MG 151 guns for strafing and can release up to six SC 50 bombs per bombing run. The medium calibre guns can destroy slow flying bombers or lightly armoured vehicles with relative ease, but the aircraft's poor mobility makes it insufficient to attack anything more nimble. The B-3 variant (also known as B-3/WA in the mod), on the other hand, is a dedicated anti-tank aircraft armed with a powerful 75mm Bordkanone adapted from the Pak 40 anti-tank gun that can destroy or severely damage most ground vehicles with one shot, as well as two 13mm MG 131 machine guns for general strafing.

The Hs 129 B-2 appears on 4304-Final at Bizerte, 4307-Prokhorovka, 4411-Towards Budapest, and 4504-Seelow Heights, whereas the B-3 can be found on 4409-Dukla Pass.
