The Horch 108 is a German military car.
Description[]
The Horch 108 was a heavy cross-country transport that saw service in the early years of the war, where it served as a staff car, troop transport, ambulance and prime mover. It was part of an early attempt in mass producing standardised military off-road vehicles, which was hampered by high costs, design flaws, and the infant state of the German automotive industry at the time. Early versions of the vehicle featured four-wheel steering, but this was dropped in later productions. Over time the Horch was withdrawn from front line duty: it suffered from poor weight-to-payload ratio, and its advanced, but complex chassis design proved to be problematic in rough terrain.
In BattleGroup42 the Horch 108 has space for one driver and five passengers. Although unarmoured and not particularly fast for a car, it can provide health and ammunition to its passengers. The vehicle can be found on some maps set early in the war, such as 4111-Rostov and 4307-Operation Citadel.
