Kagero-class destroyer is a Japanese destroyer.

The Kagero-class destroyers were among the most powerful ships of this kind thanks to their strong and effective armament. Their only drawback was a lack of radar equipment. 19 of these ships have been completed between 1937 and 1939 and were used for escort and anti-submarine duties. The war took a high toll on the Kagero-class, with only one ship surviving by the time of the Japan's capitulation.

In Battlegroup42 the Kagero-class destroyer appears throughout the course of WWII in the Pacific theatre. It is armed with six 127mm guns on three turrets and two torpedo launchers. For anti-air defense it has two twin 25mm Type 96 anti-aircraft guns.

A second Kagero-class destroyer, Isokaze, can be found on Battle of Midway.
