The MAS 38 is a French submachine gun.
Description
The MAS 38 was the result of a series of French submachine gun development carried out in the inter-war period. It has a number of unusual features, with the most distinctive one being alignment of the receiver and the barrel, which is not parallel, but at a slight angle. Few guns were produced by the Armistice of 22 June 1940, but production continued at Germany's direction to supply the Axis force. The weapon would continue to see service after the war in police service.
In Battlegroup42 the MAS 38 is the primary weapon for the French, Free French, and Vichy French medic class.
