For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on Martin B-26 Marauder.

Martin B-26 Marauder is an American medium bomber.

Description[]

Designed as a tactical daylight bomber with long range, the B-26 Marauder combined powerful engines and a streamline silhouette with high bombload capacity, making it a fast and hard hitting warbird. It was one of the best medium bombers of WW2, despite early problems with the poorly tested plane which initially lead to a lot of losses by accidents. As soon as the crews got used to the new bomber, the Marauder showed its full potential in multiple roles. It performed best as a level bomber at medium altitudes and proved to be highly accurate. Apart from this, it was also used as a torpedo bomber, especially by the Royal Air Force, as a low level intruder with ground attack capability and even to intercept enemy bombers, transport and reconnaissance planes. By the end of WW2 the Marauder had the lowest loss ratio of all US warplanes.

In Battlegroup42, the B-26 Marauder is exclusively available as a torpedo bomber in Battle of Midway. Its main armament is the Mark 13 torpedo mounted beneath the fuselage for anti-shipping attacks. It is also equipped with a large number of M2 Browning machine guns: four forward firing machine guns for the pilot, one on the nose, two on dorsal turret, and two more at the tail.
