The Mosin-Nagant is a Russian rifle.

Description[]

The Mosin-Nagant was the service rifle of the Russian Empire as well as the successor state, the Soviet Union. The name consists of a Russian Imperial Army Officer Sergei Ivanovich Mosin and a Belgian designer Léon Nagant, who both contributed to the designs of the rifle. The Mosin–Nagant M1891/30 (also known as M91/30) was the modernised version introduced in 1930 and was the most common variant. One of the most mass produced bolt-action rifles, the Mosin–Nagant M1891/30 rifle became the standard issue of Soviet troops throughout World War II.

In Battlegroup42 the Mosin-Nagant is the primary weapon of the Soviet rifleman class, engineer class, and sniper class for most scenarios set in the first half of the war. The sniper class has access to a scope-mounted version, whereas the rifleman class has access to a bayonet.
