The Nebelhandgranate 39 is a German smoke hand grenade.

The Nebelhandgranate 39 was a variety of the German Stielhandgranate 24 and looked close to this. Instead of high explosive material, its cap was filled with a smoke generating mixture that burns for two minutes. It was ignitet by friction after a short delay. The handle had three horizontal corrugations at the screw cap end to assist in differentation by touch. Because of the short duration of the smoke, this grenade was used where accuracy in placing a small screen is most important, such as screening machine gun nests and pillboxes.

In Battlegroup42, the Nebelhandgranate 39 is issued the scout and medic classes of the German, Italian, Hungarian and Chinese armies
