8mm machine gun
The P26/40 is a tank of Italian origin.
Originally designed as a heavy tank to support other medium tanks, the P26/40 is plagued by delays due to redesigns and difficulty faced in engine development. By the time it is ready for production, Italy is out of the war as a result of the Armistice of Cassibile, and the few produced fall under the hands of Germany.
In Battlegroup42, the P26/40 is used by the German forces under the designation Panzer P26 737(i). It is armed with a 75mm L/34 gun and a coaxial 8mm Breda machine gun. The tank is available in maps set in the Italian theatre, such as 4405-Gustav Line. A number of turrets are also used as static defenses.
