For historical information, Wikipedia has an article on T-26.

T-26 is a Soviet light tank.

Description[]

The T-26 was derived from the British Vickers 6-ton tank: initial production model, known as Model 1931, featured twin turrets just like the Vickers 6-ton Type A, whereas later models from 1933 onwards had a single turret that was inspired by the Vickers 6-ton Type B, but with a new 45mm M1932 (20-K) gun and turret that had greater emphasis on anti-tank capability. Produced in great numbers, the T-26 formed the backbone of the Red Army before T-34 became more readily available. Apart from the early phases of the Eastern Front, the tank also saw action elsewhere, such as the Spanish Civil War under Republican Army service, Soviet-Japanese border conflicts, as well as the Second Sino-Japanese War under Chinese service. Other variants included KhT-130 flamethrower tank and radio-controlled teletanks.

The T-26 in BattleGroup42 represents the Model 1933 version with a single turret. It is relatively well armed for its time thanks to its 45mm gun, but like most of its counterparts of the period, it was also lightly armoured, and it cannot withstand anything greater than small arms fire. The vehicle can mostly be found in maps set between late 1930s and early 1940s.
